Lighting Repair & LED Upgrades

Repairs for landscape lighting that has gone dark in places, and LED conversions for halogen systems that cost too much to run.

Bring an old system back

If half your lights are out, a zone flickers, or the whole system is aging halogen that eats electricity and burns out bulbs, it’s usually fixable. We trace bad connections and failed transformers, replace corroded fixtures, and convert halogen systems to warm LED that draws a fraction of the power and lasts far longer.

Add and extend

We also add fixtures to a system you already have — new trees, a patio, a fresh bed — and rebalance the transformer so everything runs at full brightness. We’ll happily service a system we didn’t install.

Lighting Repair & LED Upgrades questions

Do you repair or add to a landscape lighting system you didn’t install?

Yes. We troubleshoot dark or flickering zones, replace failed fixtures and transformers, convert halogen systems to LED, and add fixtures for new trees, beds or a patio on systems we didn’t originally install — then rebalance the transformer so everything runs at full brightness.

Why are my landscape lights flickering or going out?

Most often it is a corroded or loose connection on the buried wire, a fixture that has taken on water, or a transformer that is failing or carrying more fixtures than it was sized for. Halogen systems also lose bulbs one at a time. Finding which of those it is comes before replacing anything.

Is LED landscape lighting worth it?

Yes. LED landscape lighting draws a fraction of the power of old halogen, runs cool, and the lamps last many years, so the running cost and the maintenance both drop sharply. We install warm, dimmable LED that looks natural — none of the harsh blue light people worry about — and we convert existing halogen systems to LED.

How can I tell if my landscape lighting transformer is bad?

If every light goes dark at once, or a whole zone fails together, the transformer or its timer is the first suspect; one dark fixture among working ones points to that fixture or its connection instead. An overloaded transformer can also trip, which is common after fixtures have been added over the years.
